West University Place Police Department · ev-westu-virtual-gate-official
Evidence type: primary government record
Publication: Unknown · Event: Unknown · Verified: Oct 5, 2026
Original sourceUndated original page describes a mixed LPR/live-video system: funded in 2018, implementation began in 2019, and all 40 locations fully operational by May 2022. Forty is a site quantity, not a reader count. Police dispatch and patrol receive alerts. Estimated $4.5 million covers the mixed system, not ALPR alone. No exact May day or October 2026 operating inventory established.
